A Vision of the Future
For the first time in years, SatAM fans finally have hope that the vision of Sonic we fell in love with can make a comeback. With that hope, however, comes a responsibility on the part of the fanbase, both here on FUS and all over the Sonic fandom, to learn to play nice and keep things in perspective.
A Dying Breed?
From its premiere in 1993 to 1999, many years after its cancellation, SatAM wasn't just part of the Sonic franchise; for America, it WAS the franchise. As time passed and SEGA introduced its own storyline, however, SatAM became a niche within the Sonic community. That niche seems to be slowly growing smaller, and one has to wonder if we aren't looking at the end of the road...
Why SatAM Stands Out
Most American cartoon shows based on video games have faded into obscurity over the years, but SatAM has managed to retain a loyal and vocal fan-base, create a still-running comic book, and hold a place for itself within the overall canon of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. How did it manage to succeed where so many of its peers crashed and burned?
